"o2c
is the 3D-Engine, that can be controled by the developer
using Javascript, VisualBasic or others. Because of
this, you can create multiple applications, from a room-planer
to a product-configurator, from a Online-game to an
assembly instruction, from a exploded drawing to e-learning." |

|
| Q1 |
Please
give a brief presentation of O2C. |
| A1 |
The
o2c-Player is a 3D-Viewer, that is an ideal Marketing Tool
und suitable for all Areas of Communication and Know-how-Transfer.
o2c is qualified for the Integration into Web-Sites, PowerPoint-
Presentations and digitale Product Catalogues. o2c is a base
for individual interactive tools. |
| |
|
| Q2 |
O2C
has introduce a new release. What are the main new features? |
| A2 |
The
new player is about 10 times faster (Fps) und offers new possibilities,
e.g. new textures using alpha channel, 32 bits of colour depth,
Texture animation, Bump-Mapping, and extended light sources.
The texture resolution is unlimited and is only dependent on
the graphics card being used. Applied Animated textures will
bring an object to life. Textures can move over areas or show
even video sequences. |
| |
|
| Q3 |
There
are a lot of RealTime 3D solutions. What make O2C unique? |
| A3 |
The
o2c-Player allows everyone to create individual interactive
solutions, e.g. configuration tools. The o2c-Player can be controled
by different programming languages. This advantage is combined
with a high compression of the data. o2c-files are very small,
what allows you to use the configurators Online. Schueco International
uses o2c for this. (www.schueco.de) |

|
| Q4 |
What
is the process to generate 3D contents ready to play with O2C
player? |
| A4 |
We
can convert 3DS, CATIA, Unigraphics, SAT, Parasolid, IGES, STEP,
VDAFS, Brep to o2c. This can be done by CAD2o2c, a software
that can make batch-conversions, includes Methods to control
Data-quality, filesize and performance, Correction of von defective
geometries and Optimizing (Automatic Leave out of invisible
parts) |
| |
|
| Q5 |
Can
O2C import CAD files? |
| A5 |
Our
aim was, to create a player, taht is easily and fast installed,
when entering a web-Site. Because of this, we created a standalone
Software for the conversion, which offers a lot of advantages.
CAD2o2c can convert 3DS, CATIA, Unigraphics, SAT, Parasolid,
IGES, STEP, VDAFS, Brep to o2c. |
| |
|
| Q6 |
CAD
visualisation on the internet required both a fast 3D engine
and a high compression rate. What are the performances of O2C
in this two domains? |
| A6 |
o2c-Files
are very small, because we use a lot of optmimization features.
We think, that o2c-files are the smallest files at the moment
when we compare the same quality of object. We use DirectX and
Diect3D to show the object and therefore, the new release is
up to 10 times faster (frames per second). |
| |
|
| Q7 |
In
wich form is O2C marketed? |
| A7 |
The
player is free of charge. The object license is free, if it
is used not for business aims. Business objects are charged
once, when created. The conversion-software CAD2o2c and o2c-Composer
are modular priced. |
| |
|
| Q8 |
Is it easy to add interactions (animations, configurators...)
in O2C scenes? |
| A8 |
It
is very easy to add interactions and there are a lot of possibilities.
Animation can be imported from 3DS-Objects. But you have more
possibilities. You can add objects to a scene, e.g. by drag&drop.
These objects may be moved by the mouse, if desired. You can
move, scale and rotate objects, change their materials and textures.
You can identify clicks in the scene and start actions out of
this. You can e.g. add sounds to clicks. All this can be done
with a few Javascript-Commands. |

|
| Q9 |
What
kind of application can be build with O2C? |
| A9 |
