"Viewpoint Enliven Pro is definitely the right answer! It sells for only $249 US, and gives unencumbered license to import nearly all 3D scenes or objects, plus the application imports Flash and video content, creates interactivity, and publish as often as one wants. The solution is inexpensive, easy to use, and powerful beyond your imagination."

Q1 What are the key features of Enliven Pro?
A1

Enliven Pro provides an incredibly easy method of compiling and creating interactive 3D and streaming media for the Internet.
- The application adds value to existing assets by importing MAX, MAYA, SWF, ASE, OBJ, plus 25 other supported 3D file types, AVI, MOV, MP3, & WAV. Animations, texture maps, video, and audio remain intact.
- Enliven has a visual authoring environment, a simple visual interface for creating interactive web content quickly and easily with no programming required.
- The application has real time preview – scrubbing timelines and immediate feedback through all phases of creating interactive content.
- Animations may be triggered with a fantastic interactor and behavior based approach.
- Publishing to the web is template based and very versatile
- No more broadcast key or complex licensing. Enliven Pro allows unlimited publishing to the web.

Q2 What types of users are you targeting with Enliven?
A2

Enliven Pro was conceived as a brother to Poser, Bryce, and Carrara. The room by room approach is familiar and intuitive. Enliven Pro can compile content created in those applications or 3D Studio Max. The scenes which Enliven Pro publishes are all interactive. Flash and Video can be layered and alpha channels work everywhere. Lastly, people who create Flash content and who use JavaScript may be most adept with Enliven Pro to publish some amazing internet experiences.
Enliven Pro is for the interactive community.

Q3 Web designers have been waiting for a long time that Viewpoint technology become more affordable. Is Enliven the right answer? Is this answer not to late?
A3 Viewpoint Enliven Pro is definitely the right answer. It sells for only $249 US, and gives unencumbered license to import nearly all 3D scenes or objects, plus the application imports Flash and video content, creates interactivity, and publish as often as one wants. The solution is inexpensive, easy to use, and powerful beyond your imagination.
You are correct, this is long overdue, and much anticipated. Flash can only go so far...3D alone can only show so much. Enliven Pro and the VMP allows it all in one. Enliven Pro should become a natural extension for Flash developers and advanced web people.

Q4 Java applets become more and more used to present products in 3D. What is your position regarding this competitor?
A4 Enliven Pro delivers truly interactive experiences. Everything is set on a stage with Flash able to play on the foreground, background, or on objects. Creating interaction is easy and 3D objects which are lit and textured mapped and can be grabbed and experienced. This approach moves beyond other solutions.

Q5 Are Viewpoint contents now accessible to FireFox browsers?
A5 Yes, the Viewpoint Media Player and content play well on Mozilla Firefox, Netscape Navigator and Macintosh Safari too.

Q6 What is the position of Viewpoint considering 3D hardware authoring solutions (Anark, Quest3D, Virtools...)?
A6 Enliven Pro publishes interactive content which plays in the Viewpoint Media Player. The Viewpoint Media Player has proliferated around the world with great and growing popularity. The VMP is becoming more and more ubiquitous as it is included on every HP/Compaq, Dell and other PC manufacturers systems delivered. All AOL users, I think there are about 70 million, use the Viewpoint Media Player to see Superbuddies and other AOL features to make the AOL experience very nice.
So, the media player is near ubiquity and the Enliven Pro creative environment is easy, intuitive, and effective. This is a well thought out solution with media players on around 110 million systems. The companies you mention don't have the same great foundation.

Q7 What is the role of Rich3D?
A7 Rich3D was initially conceived as a talent pool of Viewpoint Experience Technology (VET) experts. We mixed XML, 3D, JavaScript and HTML to create great product experiences. Rich3D has developed into a cornerstone for the Viewpoint developer community.
Creating content for the Viewpoint Media Player has become intuitive, like working with Poser or Bryce. Viewpoint requested several modifications to make Rich3D better, and we are moving fast. Rich3D is becoming more of a resource for the Enliven Pro user community.

Q8 Internet user's behaviors have change (because of internet security, spyware...). Does it have an influence on Viewpoint plug-in penetration ?
A8 The Viewpoint Media Player is among other trusted media players and every single Dell and HP/Compaq come with the VMP naturally installed. Each day the installed base grows.

Q9 We have reviewed Enliven, and find it to be a very interesting 3D solution. But it seems that the process of importing 3ds max models can be improved, would you launch an extra exporter/importer for Autodesk's DCC software?
A9 In Enliven Pro, the best method of bringing animated 3D with articulation et al into a VET scene is to navigate as follows: File > Import > choose >MAX file and like magic, it all works in Enliven Pro. Viewpoint including Deep Exploration with Enliven Pro allows the translation of Max scenes and the largest cross section of other applications available.

Q10 What is the difference between Enliven Trial and Enliven Pro?
A10 Enliven Pro allows 3D content from other applications to be imported. Deep Exploration from Right Hemisphere is included with Enliven Pro to manage 2D, 3D, animation, video and audio assets residing on a computer or network.
Streaming video on 3D or in the VET scene is only possible with Enliven Pro. On2 VP7 technology provides the best quality of any codec on the market today. It encodes quicker, and decodes in fewer cycles, while delivering high quality video on any object or layer.
After 30 days, the Enliven Trial version should be updated to Enliven Pro to allow a fully functioning workflow with all models, animations, and streaming video.
